SPECIAL NEED GROUP HOMES FOR INDIGENOUS/NON-INDIGENOUS
GOALS
To relieve conditions associated with disability by providing specially adapted residential accommodation, incidental facilities, and support by providing Group Home for Special need adult, and elderly, and family and alternative care for transition and safe homes for those who cannot afford the care. To relieve conditions associated with disability by providing specially adapted residential accommodation, incidental facilities, and support by establishing, operating and maintaining group homes for Special Need children, adults with special needs, partnering with local Health agencies so there is no cost to the poor for this. To relieve conditions associated with disability by providing specially adapted residential accommodation, incidental facilities, and support by establishing Special Need Group home for Indigenous persons on Reserve land with access to Elder and cultural support.
It is our intention to partner with both the local health authority governing group homes, and also the Ministry of Children and Family, where in both disclose a significant shortage for Group Homes dedicated for Special needs. Our focus here is three types of facilities
1) GROUP HOME FOR ADULTS AND ELDERLY with SPECIAL NEEDS Ranging from FAS to Down Syndrome to intensive life support care, there is a significant shortage for purpose built homes with dedicated Special Need staff. The homes will be built to Health Authority and Ministry specifications and staffed with Registered Nurses, Social Workers, Security. The intent is to have both community based locations and with our established partnerships with the Local First Nations, On Reserve based homes with elder and cultural accesses.
2) GROUP HOME FOR CHILDREN with SPECIAL NEEDS Ranging from FAS to Down Syndrome to intensive life support care, there is a significant shortage for purpose built homes with dedicated Special Need staff. The homes will be built to Health Authority and Ministry specifications and staffed with Registered Nurses, Social Workers, Security. The intent is to have both community based locations and with our established partnerships with the Local First Nations, On Reserve based homes with elder and cultural accesses.
The specific shortage that Ministry of Children and Family are experiencing for placement of children in their care, as well as interprovincial transfers to family member access, this model provides an urgent need for the betterment of the children.
Facilities will be purpose built exactly to local Health Authority specifications.
